Introduction and Background | Grade 4 Lessons | Grade 5 Lessons | Grade 6 Lessons | Action Plan
Climate change and air quality are environmental issues that affect everyone. Eliminating engine idling is one big step we can take that will reap benefits of reduced greenhouse gas and pollution emissions. It's important that children understand this connection at an early age so they can influence the adults and lay the foundation for their own driving behaviours later in life.
Idling lessons present a real-life opportunity to teach math, chemistry, health and environment, while creating analytical, civic-minded students.
