Special Notes for the 2010 Pick-Me-Up

Don't be Nuts, Trash Your Butts! A little squirrel told us that cigarette butts are a huge problem in Nova Scotia. They are not biodegradable, they are plastic--and they don't belong on the ground. Don't forget when you are completing your data card from your litter clean-up to estimate how many butts you picked up!

If you smoke, please butt out responsibly by fully extinguishing your cigarette and placing it in a personal ashtray, cigarette butt container or garbage can. Thank you.
