Kevin Brooks

Originally from a small aboriginal community of 500 in Northern British Columbia (Telkwa), it is perhaps not that surprising that sustainable communities is Kevin's passion. He works with Terrain Group, Inc, as a Planner / Urban Designer, and brings to the Clean Nova Scotia board not only that, but his experience previously as a Clean Nova Scotia employee, including experience as a certified EnerGuide advisor.

Martha Grantham
Martha Grantham is the Supervisor of the Natural Resources Education Centre (NREC), located in Middle Musquodoboit. The Centre is part of the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources, and fosters understanding and stewardship of the province’s natural environment through educational and interpretive programs, utilizing trails and nearly 400 hectares (1,000 acres) of woodlands. Martha’s love of the natural world lead to degrees in biology and geology, and to the desire to share this passion with everyone. Her role as Public Education Geologist with the Nova Scotia Department of Mines and Energy in the late 1980s was to make Earth science interesting and accessible. Martha worked as Curator of Education and Public Programs with the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History for over 16 years. Martha was Manager of Interpretation of the Johnson GEO CENTRE in St. John’s, Newfoundland, during its formative stages, and was integral in the exhibit and interpretive development of this 3,100 m2 (33,000 ft2), $12 million dollar facility, which opened in 2002. She is well-known for her organizational skills. Martha is also an amateur radio operator, and is known for her word play, making her a ham in more ways than one! She loves spending her spare time outdoors ... naturally.
